Product Description

Introduction

This cable fire resistance test equipment to be used for testing cables required to maintain circuit integrity when subject to fire alone or fire with shock where the test condition is based upon flame with a controlled heat output corresponding to a temperature of at least 750˚C or fire with shock at a temperature of at least 830 °C.

Control cabinet parameters:

Fire Resistance:
  1. Heat source (Burner) requirements: 610mm (length) tubular gas burner.
  2. The test ladder frame for installing the cable is fastened on the supporting steel base; during the test, the vertical members on both sides of the test ladder can be adjusted according to different cable size requirements (test frame length: 1200mm, height: 60mm, total weight: 18±1kg)
  3. Inside diameter of metal ring is about: 150 mm.
  4. With a temperature measuring device (K type thermocouple with diameter less than 2mm,75mm away from flame jet).
  5. The front end of the burner is not less than 200mm from the bottom of the box, and the distance from the wall of the box is not less than 500mm
  6. According to the test class, the flame temperature is adjustable: 600 ~ 1000ºC 
  7. The horizontal axis of the burner is 40-60MM away from the center of the test cable, and the vertical axis of the burner is 100-120MM away from the longitudinal axis of the sample cable
  8. Provide 5 metal rings with an inner diameter of approximately 150 mm as required by the standard. The distance between the metal rings can be adjusted freely, which is convenient for the test sample to be fixed and supported.

Mechanical shock:
1, Stainless steel bracket impact structure is equipped with Fire Resistance Test Equipment;
2, The hammer cone is a thick round steel bar with a diameter of 25mm and a length of 600mm..
3, The hammer cone is hammered in a free fall at an angle of 60°.
4, The motor drives the rod hammer for periodic hammering and impact action.
5, Strike cycle (time):  10~999S(can be set freely,standard require 30 ± 2S / time;)
6, Total test time: 0 ~ 9999S
7, The ribbon burner has a nozzle length of 500mm and a width of 15mm. There are three rows of staggered holes on the nozzle. The hole radius is 1.32 mm and the hole distance is 3.2 mm. Equipped with Venturi mixer. 
8, Test temperature 600 ~ 1000 ºC can be set freely.  
9, Thermocouple diameter is less than ¢ 2mm. (Shared with Fire Resistance part)
10, 0.25A current through each phase cable during the test.

Water spray: 
  1. The ribbon burner has a nozzle length of 500mm and a width of 15mm. There are three rows of staggered holes on the nozzle. The hole radius is 1.32 mm and the hole distance is 3.2 mm. Equipped with Venturi mixer.
  2. Test temperature 600 ~ 1000ºC can be set freely.(Standard requires 650 ±40 ºC).
  3. The Fire Resistance Test Equipment uses a thermocouple with a diameter not greater than ¢2 to measure temperature.
  4. The water supply pressure of the spray head is 250~350Kpa, and the spray water amount to the sample is about 0.25~0.3L/m2/S.
  5. The sample to be tested should be a complete cable at least 1500 mm long, with approximately 100 mm of housing removed from each end.
  6. During the test, the test cable is energized through the isolation transformer and connected to the 3A fuse or circuit breaker, and there are on-off signal lights for each phase cable.
