Product Description

Introduce
Small and powerful, this exciter is versatile and reliable, built for challenging modal applications, SISO (Single Input Single Output) and SIMO (Single Input Single Output) and SIMO ( single-input multiple-output) trials, as well as MISO (multiple-input-single-output) and MISO (multiple-input-single-output) trials for large structures. It provides pulsed, sinusoidal and random signals, as well as a wide frequency range (DC - 5000Hz), displacement up to 25.4 mm (1 inch), and greatly improved low frequency performance.

Features
1. Designed with rare earth neodymium technology, this exciter has a high draw ratio and can deliver random and sinusoidal forces of up to 70N and 100N (15lbf and 22lbf), respectively, without external cooling.
2. The exciter contains a low mass, high rigidity armature, made of magnesium, suspended on a spring, which minimizes the force drop at the resonant frequency and improves the quality of the force measurement. The built-in optical sensor allows precise control of the armature position.
3. The linear guide system is composed of four radial flexures on the upper and lower sides, which are used to keep the drive coil in the center position and improve the stability during operation. The flexure system maintains high stiffness in torsional and lateral directions to resist rotational motion of the device under test (DUT). This feature also enables the exciter to absorb lateral forces without damaging its internal structure.
4. In modal testing, a connecting rod or sleeve is used to apply force to the device under test while reducing interference from the exciter. All of our modal shakers feature a through hole design for easy connecting rod installation. Tensioned or piano-string links are easily installed using collet chucks; push-pull rods are attached with M6 to 10-32 UNF threaded inserts.
5. The exciter is available as a standalone unit (trunnion mounted) or as a complete system that also includes a matching 120 VA amplifier, a set of standard linkages, and all required cables.
